It is said that the force has already spent this amount on the case so far.

The police have reportedly spent a significant amount on various items, including transportation, hard disks, pen drives, paper, card readers, food for the accused, and FSL services. A considerable portion of the budget has gone toward purchasing hard disks and pen drives, which were necessary for storing CCTV footage and retrieving data from DVRs related to the case. It is said that substantial funds were allocated to ensure that these crucial pieces of evidence were safely preserved.
Two days back, Darshan was transferred to the Central Jail in Bellary. The Kannada A-lister is in judicial custody till September 9, along with 16 others. Darshan’s transfer from Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara prison, where he had been held since June 22, was approved by the court on Tuesday. This decision followed the circulation of a viral photograph on Sunday showing him mingling with gangsters, smoking, sipping tea, and relaxing inside the prison.
