During the Kedarnath Yatra, a major accident was averted. A helicopter of Thambi Aviation was landing on the helipad at Kedarnath. During this he hit the ground and turned. Thankfully there was no loss of life or property.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that the incident happened on May 31. When the helicopter was landing, it hit the ground. A video of this incident has surfaced. It is seen in the video that after hitting the ground, the helicopter turned 270 degrees and made a dangerous landing. The DGCA has started an investigation into the incident and has asked the pilot to exercise caution.
DGCA said – if the situation gets worse, cancel the landing
DGCA has also issued an advisory. It said that pilots should be especially careful while landing at Kedarnath helipad. If the crosswind or tailwind exceeds the prescribed standards, all precautions should be taken. In this case the landing should be canceled and returned to base.
On Sunday itself, the bus of devotees who went on Chardham Yatra overturned, 26 died
The bus fell into a deep gorge in Uttarkashi. In this 26 people died, while 4 were injured.
