Daiwa Smart TV with webOS operating system and Magic Remote launched at Rs 44,990 – Times of India

Consumer electronics brand Daiwa has launched its first webOS based smart TV in India. Dubbed as D50U1WOS, the TV features a 50-inch 4K UHD panel, ThinQ AI Voice Assistance and Magic Remote.

The company’s 4K UHD TV is priced at Rs 43,990 and will be available for purchase through leading retail stores in India and through the company’s official website www.daiwa.in.

The 50-inch 4K UHD panel supports a multi-HDR format including HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma). Its panel claims to offer enhanced color saturation and wide black levels for a better overall viewing experience.
The TV also supports upscaling and the company claims that the TV can reproduce low quality footage in 4K resolution.
Daiwa’s 4K Smart TV is calibrated to the D6500 color temperature in Cinema Mode to provide a cinema-like viewing experience.
On the audio front, the TV claims to bring an enhanced audio experience with Dolby Audio sound technology with its 20W surround sound box speaker.
The TV is also equipped with MEMC (Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation) technology @ 60Hz for smooth blur-free visuals.
It also supports – ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) which reduces input lag for a smooth gaming experience.
Smart TV is powered by ARM CA55 1.1GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.
As far as apps are concerned, the TV supports Popular are you there platforms that include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and Disney+ Hotstar, sonyliv, Zee5, among others,
The TV features dual-band Wi-Fi, Miracast and two-way Bluetooth 5.0 for high-speed connectivity.
The TV comes with a Magic Remote with voice assistance support and is also compatible with the LG ThinQ app.
We’ve also said that LG’s webOS is one of the best operating systems for smart TVs. The operating system is one of the most feature-rich among other operating systems designed for Smart TVs. It also supports Magic Remote which gives users better control over navigation and access content. Till now, You LG was limited to smart TVs, which usually cost a lot more here than Daiwa. It’s great to see operating systems making their way to a more accessible price point. Although, we can’t say anything about the performance right now, but overall, we think this is a good move by Daiwa.
