Neetu Kapoor became a grandmother in November last year when Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first daughter together.
The Kapoor family is celebrating the first Lohri of their new member Raha Kapoor on Friday. Grandma Neetu Kapoor sends wishes on her Instagram stories on this special day Alia Bhatt And daughter of Ranbir Kapoor. Neetu Kapoor became a grandmother in November last year when Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first daughter together. Soon after the delivery, Alia took to her official Instagram handle calling her little princess ‘magical’. “And in the best news of our lives… our baby girl is here, and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed parents!!! Love love love – Alia and Ranbir,” read the joint statement issued by the couple. Following this, Neetu Kapoor had reacted to it by commenting “blessings” adding heart emojis.
Later, in another post, Alia revealed the name of her baby girl and revealed that ‘Raaha’ was chosen by none other than Neetu Kapoor. “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful grandmother) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is bliss, in Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, in Bangla – Comfort, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom and joy. And true to its name, from the first moment we held it – we felt it all! ❤️” she wrote.
On the work front, Neetu Kapoor returned to the big screen last year with the family-comedy-drama Jug Jug Jeeyo. Anil Kapoor was also in this film. Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan in the lead role. She will next be seen in Letters To Mr. Khanna opposite Sunny Kaushal.
