A video of Chennai Super Kings cheerleaders replicating dance moves by a group of fans has gone viral.

A video of a group of Chennai Super Kings fans has taken the internet by storm where they can be seen teaching the club’s cheerleaders some new moves. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is known for its enthusiastic crowds but these Chennai fans took passion to a different level during the franchise’s clash against the Rajasthan Royals. Donning MS Dhoni’s iconic number 7 jersey, the fans could be seen waving their hands in unison. The cheerleaders took notice of the dance moves and replicated them on the stage using the pom-poms in their hands. The synchronised dance didn’t stop even when it turned dark. The fans kept performing new moves, which the cheerleaders continued copying.

The video of the hilarious fan sequence was uploaded by a couple of cricket pages named Whistlepoduarmy and Cskfansofficial on Instagram. In the caption, they wrote, “The Superfans Atrocities teaching steps to our Cheerleaders. Tag that fan who loves dancing!”. The clip has now received several views on the platform, alongside a ton of reactions.

One fan joked that this mutual love between Chennai Super Kings fans and the club’s cheerleaders has been a never-ending saga. “Yellow fans and cheer girls of csk never-ending love story,” she wrote. Another fan suggested that the video was quite fun by saying, “Great fun”. One user referred to MS Dhoni, requesting the iconic skipper not to retire this season and play another campaign next year. He wrote, “Plss don’t go, play 1 year more”. There were several other comments with laughing and heart emojis.

This isn’t the first time Chennai Super Kings fans have taught the club’s cheerleaders new dance moves. Just last year, a fan decided to showcase some of his unique moves which initially started as an attempt to copy the cheerleaders. Soon the performance turned into a show, gathering the attention of the supporters around him. However, this time, it was the cheerleaders who copied the fan’s moves instead. The energetic dance from the man resulted in a huge cheer from the crowd. The spectators applauded the man’s spontaneous performance which brought smiles to their faces.

Speaking of Chennai Super Kings’ recent game, the five-time winners overcame the Rajasthan Royals to bag their seventh win of the season. An impactful bowling performance from Chennai pacer Simarjeet Singh saw him dismiss Rajasthan’s three main top-order batters including Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson. In the second half, club skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad played a captain’s knock to seal a five-wicket win for Chennai.

Chennai Super Kings will next face a Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The match will be hosted at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 18. A win will put Chennai in pole position to seal a playoff spot.
