New Delhi: Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the steps taken by the state governments to contain the spread of COVID-19 in hill stations and tourist places.
During the meeting, the Union Home Secretary spoke of caution citing media reports which showed tourist places crowded with people violating the COVID-19 protocol.
“Overall Management of the COVID-19 Situation and Immunization Status in respect of the States of Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan Rajasthan, Tamil NaduUttarakhand, and West Bengal were discussed during the meeting,” the home ministry said in a statement.
“He stressed that the second wave of COVID is not over yet and states should ensure strict adherence to the prescribed protocols regarding wearing of masks, social distancing and other safe practices,” he said.
