Meanwhile, a bike and a car collided this morning at Bhawanipur intersection of Kandi Baharampur State Highway. The bike rider died on the spot. After this the anger of the crowd erupted. Angry mob set the car on fire. On getting the information, the police and fire department went to the spot.
Police car returning from patrol collided with bus, one killed, 3 injured
In East Burdwan, on Monday morning, the police vehicle was returning to the police station after completing patrolling. The car was climbing up from under the bridge. Meanwhile, the passenger bus was coming over the bridge at the speed of a storm. While climbing the bridge, two vehicles collided with each other. The driver of the police vehicle died on the spot. A police ASI, constable and civic volunteer were injured. The accident happened near Bagrai bridge on Elambazar Guskara road under Ausgram police station in East Burdwan. The condition of the injured remains critical. He was admitted to a nursing home in Burdwan. According to the police, the deceased driver is Vishwanath Murmu. The three injured have been identified as Kamlesh Singh, Shrikant Sinha, Ashish Pramanik.

Four people returning from Kirtan died in an accident in Coochbehar

Police told that the name of the deceased is Nashai Sheikh. The drug addict’s house is in Gokarna Chatra village of Kandi. Enraged by the incident, the mob set fire to the government vehicle.
