“She got injured during the warm-up match. We cannot say that she is out of the World Cup right now. But she will not be able to play in the Pakistan match.”

The southpaw had batted at number three instead of his usual opening position against Australia. His innings lasted only three balls.

Mandhana later missed India’s second warm-up match against Bangladesh on Wednesday.

Brilliant centuries from Sheldon Jackson and Arpit Vasavada led Saurashtra’s fightback against Karnataka while Bengal dominated defending champions Madhya Pradesh on the third day of their respective 2022-23 Ranji Trophy semi-final matches on Friday.

At the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Saurashtra were 364 for 4 at stumps, trailing Karnataka by just 43 runs, with Arpit Vasavada (112 not out) and Chirag Jani (19 not out) at the crease .

Sheldon Jackson was the star performer for Saurashtra on Day 3, scoring 160 off 245 balls. He also shared a crucial 232-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Arpit Vasavada.

In the second semi-final in Indore, Akash Deep continued his fine run of form with a five-wicket haul in Ranji Trophy 2022-23 as Bengal continued their dominance over Madhya Pradesh. At stumps, Bengal’s score was 59 for 2 with 327 runs in front of them.
