Ward 49 Counting Results:
- BJP has slipped to third place. Only 10 percent votes.
- Upanitha didn’t do badly the first time. Got 15 percent of the vote. He became third.
- Congress’s Aamna Khanum was at number two. He got 25 percent of the vote.
- Trinamool candidate Monalisa won. He got about 45 percent of the vote.
- CPI(M) candidate Upanitha is behind.
- Trinamool candidate Monalisa was initially ahead in Ward No. 49. Upanita, a post graduate student in the comparative department of Jadavpur University and CPIM candidate, is lagging behind.
- This time the CPI(M) has given ticket to young Turkish Upanita Pandey in ward number 49. He is the youngest candidate in this year’s Kolkata Poornima election. Trinamool Congress has given ticket to Monalisa Banerjee, who entered student politics. Rajalakshmi Biswas and Aamna Khanum have represented BJP and Congress respectively.
