CPI(M) central committee blames Bengal leadership for election strategy Bengal CPM leader amid Yechury’s wrath – News18 Bangla

#Kolkata: Sitaram Yechury attacked the Bengal CPM leadership for contesting the elections regardless of the strategy devised by the central leadership. The CPI(M) general secretary reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the state leaders by attending a two-day meeting of the party’s state secretariat. Yechury’s criticism of the party’s state leadership strategy was also heard in front of journalists in Kolkata that day.

The CPM-6 recognized the BJP as its main enemy across the country. West Bengal is no exception. However, like the BJP in West Bengal, the Left, including the CPM, got a tough fight from the Trinamool. But state leaders have targeted the BJP and Trinamool Congress during the elections. This was the party’s strategy in this state. Despite forging an alliance with the Congress and the ISF, the CPM has not shied away from this strategy. The party’s central committee feels that the party’s devastation in West Bengal was due to its attack on the Trinamool Congress in the same constituency. The Left parties, including the CPI-M, had to come down to zero in the state assembly and this is the reason why the CPI(M) central leadership is taking a jibe at the state leaders of the party. According to sources, Sitaram Yechury expressed displeasure in the assembly meeting. The same day the State Secretariat ignored the advice of the Central Committee of the Party and the manner in which the State leaders of the Party had formulated their strategy. The CPI(M) general secretary also lamented that the state leaders did not follow the strategic policy laid down by the party’s last party Congress.

Reviewing the plight of the party in the state, the CPM’s Central Committee review note also directly questioned the decision to form a united front with the Congress and the ISF. The party has decided to enter into an electoral pact with others to consolidate the anti-Trinamool and anti-BJP votes. But in West Bengal, United Front was promoted in the name of United Front by negotiating seats with Congress and ISF to form an alternative government. Which was not in line with the decision of the Central Committee of the party and was wrong.

On this day in Kolkata, Sitaram Yechury also told that his main goal is to defeat the BJP. “According to the party’s political line adopted in the Congress, our first target is to defeat the BJP,” he told reporters. There is no room for confusion in this, we have accepted that the policy of parallel attacking Trinamool and BJP by using phrases like BJP was wrong. But at the same time, keep in mind that this tactic was used in special circumstances.

It was expected that state leaders would face the wrath of the Central Committee for the party’s downfall in the state. After the meeting of the state secretariat on this day, the pressure on the state leaders of CPI(M) increased even more because now it is their responsibility to find a way out of this calamity in the state.
