COVID Updates: After a day’s break, India again records over 41K new cases in the last 24 hours

Corona Case Update: After a dip in the daily coronavirus growth on Tuesday, India has again recorded over 40,000 cases in a single day. 41,965 new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. Active cases constitute 1.15% of the total cases and the active caseload is 3,78,181.

The country’s recovery rate currently stands at 97.51%, as 33,964 patients have been cured of the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,19,93,644.

Kerala

After seeing a decline, Kerala again recorded over 30,000 cases in a single day. State reports 30,203 new Covid-19 After recovering 20,687 cases, its active cases increased to 2,18,892. It also reported 115 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 20,788. The state’s test positivity rate stands at 18.86 per cent.

Kerala Health Minister Veena George on Tuesday said the state government plans to vaccinate all people above 18 years of age with the first dose on September 10. “It will really depend on the availability of vaccine doses. The central government has agreed to provide us the doses,” added George.

Maharashtra

Maharashtra recorded 4,196 cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the total number of COVID cases in the state to 64.64,876. According to the state health ministry, 4688 patients were cured of the virus, while 104 people lost their lives due to the infection in the last 24 hours.
