covid: State’s Covid Recoveryrate Improves To 98.13% | Patna News – Times of India

PATNA: The number of daily covid cases continued to register fall in the state as 496 people tested positive for the virus on Friday against 655 cases registered on Thursday. The virus, however, claimed three more lives in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s toll has increased to 12,234.
Of the 496 cases registered on Friday, Patna accounted for 85. Seventy-three new cases were registered in madhepura32 in West Champaran22 in Rohtas19 in Bhojpur and 18 each in Aurangabad and East Champaran districts.
The state’s overall Covid tally has risen to 8,26,574. So far, 8,11,103 people have recovered from the infection in the state, including 645 in the last 24 hours. The number of active Covid patients in the state stood at 3,237 on Friday.
The state’s recovery rate improved slightly from 98.11% on Thursday to 98.13% on Friday against the national average of 95.39%.
The case positivity rate also improved from 0.45% on Wednesday to 0.34 % on Thursday.
Meanwhile, 2,07,681 doses of Covid vaccines were administered across the state in the last 24 hours. So far, 11,38,27,885 vaccine doses have been administered in the state since the launch of the drive.
