With the administration of over 17 lakh vaccine doses, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed the 180 crore milestone on Saturday (March 12), informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

2.12 crore (2,12,29,004) precautionary measures for identified categories of beneficiaries (HCWs, FLWs and above 60 years) for COVID vaccination, as per provisional report of COVID vaccination dose coverage till 7:00 PM on Saturday Exceeding the dose has been administered.

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya congratulated the nation on achieving the historic milestone of 180 crores.

“Driven in the spirit of people’s participation, the world’s largest vaccination campaign is scaling new heights under the leadership of PM @NarendraModi ji. Keep following the proper treatment of COVID even after vaccination. #SabkoVaccineMuftVaccine” tweeted Dr Mandaviya .

Meanwhile, India reported 3,614 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 0.44 per cent, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Saturday.
