Covid-19: UK lifts mandatory mask rule, Omicron says wave ‘at peak’

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Covid restrictions were being eased as government scientists think it is likely the wave of the Omicron version “is peaking nationally”. The UK government is no longer advising people to work from home, and face masks compulsory in secondary school will no longer be legally required anywhere in England from Thursday.
