Covid-19: Singapore to start vaccination journey lane with India and Indonesia from November 29

New Delhi: Travelers who have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus from India and Indonesia will be allowed to enter Singapore from November 29, 2021.

As reported by Strait Times, Singapore has announced that it will introduce Vaccination Travel Lane (VTL) under the Quarantine Free Travel Scheme starting November 29, 2021.

Apart from India and Indonesia, fully vaccinated travelers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will also be allowed to enter Singapore from December 6, 2021.

Passengers entering Singapore will not have to serve a home quarantine period while they will have to test Covid-19 negative two days before their travel to Singapore, reports ANI on their arrival.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) on Monday announced the vaccination travel lane expansion plan.

“After discussions between PM @NarendraModi and @LeeHsienLoong, Singapore will launch a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) for completely evacuated passengers from India with valid entry approval – pending resumption of commercial passenger flights starting November 29 ,” tweeted the Singapore handle in India.

As per the CAAS, travelers are advised to check the entry requirements of the respective VTL countries, which may change depending on the COVID-19 situation.

The CAAS in collaboration with the Union Health Ministry is closely monitoring the coronavirus situation around the world and in each of the VTL countries, and will make adjustments to the measures if necessary.
