COVID-19: Facility to book appointment online for ‘Precautionary Dose’ now LIVE on Co-Win | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Registration for ‘precautionary dose’ of COVID-19 vaccine for healthcare, frontline workers and senior citizens above 60 is now live CO Win Manch, Additional Secretary and Mission Director Vikas Sheel said, National Health Mission on Saturday.
“The facility of online appointment for ‘Precautionary Dose’ for Healthcare/Frontline Workers and Senior Citizens (60+) is now live on Co-Win,” he said in a tweet.
As announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi On December 25, the administration of the third dose as a precautionary measure for sensitive categories is to begin on January 10.
The Union Health Ministry had earlier said that senior citizens with co-morbidities would not be required to produce a doctor’s certificate or prescription at the time of administration of the precautionary dose.
India achieved a milestone in its COVID-19 vaccination campaign as the cumulative dose of vaccine administered in the country crossed the 150 crore mark on Friday.
Till now, 90 percent of our adult population was vaccinated with a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
With the administration of over 90 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 150.61 crore as of 7 am on Saturday.
According to a Union Health Ministry release, India executed 90,59,360 doses in the last 24 hours.
