India sees a one-day increase of 7,171 new corona virus While the active cases have come down to 51,314, according to the data updated on Saturday by the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll rose to 5,31,508 with 40 deaths, including 15 by Kerala, updated at 8 am.
The total number of Covid cases was recorded at 4.49 crore.
Active cases now comprise 0.11 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.70 per cent, according to the health ministry’s website.
The number of people who recovered from the disease increased to 4,43,56,693, while the fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 percent. According to the website of the ministry, so far 220.66 crore doses of Kovid vaccine have been given in the country.
