COVID-19: 42,766 daily coronavirus cases and 308 deaths in India, says Health Ministry. India News – Times of India

New Delhi: India on Sunday reported 42,766 new coronavirus infections, taking its cases to 3.29 crore. Ministry of Health said. The ministry said that less than 50,000 new cases are being reported daily for 70 consecutive days.
Also, out of 42,766 new cases reported in India in the last 24 hours, 29,682 were reported in Kerala covid Positive cases yesterday.

The death toll in the country rose by 308 to 440,533, data from the ministry showed at 8 am today. While the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.62 per cent. According to the ministry, it has been below 3 per cent for the last 72 days.

The health ministry said the active cases have risen to 4,10,048, comprising 1.24 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 97.42 per cent.
The active Covid-19 caseload has registered an increase of 4,367 cases in a 24-hour period.
The number of people recovering from the disease rose to 3,21,38,092, while the death rate stood at 1.34 per cent, the data said.

The cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide immunization drive has exceeded 68.46 crore, it said.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said that over 66.89 crore vaccine doses have been provided to states and UTs so far, with over 1.56 crore doses in the pipeline. The ministry said that more than 4.37 crore vaccine doses are still available with the states/UTs.
India’s Covid-19 tally had crossed 20 lakhs on August 7, 2020, 30 lakhs on 23rd August, 40 lakhs on 5th September and 50 lakhs on 16th September. It had crossed 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October. 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and crossed the one crore mark on 19 December.
The country crossed the grim milestone of 20 million on 4th May and 30 million on 23rd June this year.
