COVID-19 India News Updates: 14,506 new cases of novel coronavirus have been reported in India along with 30 deaths due to infection in the last 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday (June 29), there were a total of 11,574 discharges in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate to around 98.57 per cent and the total recovery data reaching 4,28. ,08,666.
The total active cases of COVID-19 in India has risen to 99,602, showed data from the Ministry of Health today. The active cases registered yesterday stood at 96,700.
Huge surge in active cases:
The active COVID-19 caseload has registered an increase of 2,902 cases in a 24-hour period. The ministry said that active cases comprise 0.22 per cent of the total infections.
The total death toll in the country now stands at 5,25,077. In India, the first death due to the COVID pandemic was reported in March 2020.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.35 per cent on June 29.

Delhi COVID Tally:
Meanwhile, Delhi has reported 874 fresh COVID-19 cases and four more deaths due to the infection, while the positivity rate has come down to 5.18 per cent, shared by the city’s health department on Tuesday. According to the figures. The national capital reported 628 new Covid cases and three deaths due to the viral disease on Monday, while the positivity rate was recorded at 8.06 per cent.
Tuesday’s cases were detected out of 16,866 COVID tests conducted the previous day. The number of cases of Kovid-19 in Delhi has increased to 19,32,900, while the death toll from the infection has gone up to 26,260.
The Health Department did not issue a bulletin on Sunday. On Saturday, there were six deaths due to Covid in the city, while the positivity rate stood at 7.8 per cent.
On Friday, the city recorded 1,447 Covid cases and one death, while the positivity rate stood at 5.98 per cent. Delhi had recorded 1,934 Covid cases and zero deaths on Thursday, while the positivity rate stood at 8.1 per cent.
