Pune: A woman, whose husband succumbed to COVID-19 recently, has donated Rs 1 crore to the Trust of Famous Pandharpur in the temple Maharashtra‘s Solapur Sources gave this information on Wednesday.
Sources close to the temple said that she donated the money as per her husband’s last wish.
He said the woman, who has a six-year-old daughter, wanted to remain anonymous and did not want the temple trust to reveal any information about the donation.
“She has given several checks of Rs 1 crore collectively of different dates spread over this month. While handing over the cheque, the woman told the temple trust officials that it was her husband’s wish to give away the amount received from the insurance. Bhagwan Vitthal ,” a source, who did not wish to be identified, said.
