Coronavirus Traits and Omicron BA.2 Subvariant: Experts Say Omicron BA.2 Subvariant is Difficult to Track; What steps should you take if you test negative but have COVID-19 symptoms

The latest reports suggest that the new subvariant has been detected in 54 countries. In India too, stress is believed to have led to a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. While England has reported several cases of stealthy omicrons, Denmark is listed as the country most affected by the subvariant.

However, according to a statement issued by Denmark’s Statens Serum Institute, the government-run Infectious Disease Research Center, “preliminary analysis shows no difference in hospitalization for BA.2 compared to BA.1.” “It is expected that the vaccines will also have a BA.2 infection effect against severe disease,” the statement further read. Stealth Omicron does not pose any serious life threatening so far.

But no matter how light the subvariant is, one thing that sets it apart from its original strain is its ability to survive the tracking process.
