Coronavirus Omicron variant treatment: Amidst rising cases of Omicron, here’s what you should do if you feel sick or test positive for COVID-19

The new version is said to cause mild infections so far.

Currently, the list of symptoms associated with the Omicron variant is described as somewhat ‘abnormal’, almost different from the classic COVID-19 symptoms.

While mild fever, ‘scratchy’ throat, fatigue and ‘lots of body aches’ are common symptoms associated with the Omicron type, symptoms such as a sense of smell and taste and a blocked nose are not common in patients.

That said, some symptoms may sound like a regular cold, but experts recommend getting tested for COVID-19 as soon as symptoms arise.
