According to the health ministry, India recorded 6,358 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday. The country’s active caseload now stands at 75,456. The ministry has said that Omicron’s cases have increased to 653 and at least 186 have been cured.

Mumbai and Delhi registered 70 per cent and 50 per cent increase in coronavirus cases in a span of 24 hours yesterday. The financial capital reported 1,377 cases, 496 in the national capital. One death each was recorded in the cities.
