Coronavirus: Find out who is more at risk of contracting the Delta variant? Here’s what the study found. The Times of India

According to data released by the UK authorities, the Delta variant is the most prominent of all variants in the country. With 95% of all sequenced cases, Public Health England claims that younger people, unvaccinated and partially vaccinated individuals are at higher risk of infection.

The 92,029 cases that were evaluated between early February and mid-June were of the delta variant. Of which 82,500 cases were reported in people who were over 50 years of age and most of them were not vaccinated.

However, the data reported that there were 117 cases of deaths due to the delta type, most of whom were over the age of 50. So far, 8 people have died, out of which 6 were under 50 and were not vaccinated, while 2 were partially vaccinated.
