Coronavirus: 12,830 fresh Covid cases in India, 10% less than yesterday;  446 deaths

New Delhi:
India has registered 12,830 new COVID-19 cases and 446 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry’s updated data on Sunday. The active cases came down to 1,59,272, the lowest since March 2020.

Here are the top 10 developments on coronavirus cases in India

  1. Right now the recovery rate is 98.20 percent.

  2. At least 14,667 people have been cured in the last 24 hours. The total number of people who have been cured is 3,36,55,842.

  3. Active cases are less than 1 per cent of the total cases, which is currently 0.46% per cent.

  4. The active caseload is 1,59,272, the lowest in 247 days.

  5. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said on Sunday that over 11 lakh samples were tested on October 30, taking the total samples tested to 60.83 crore.

  6. Kerala recorded 7,427 new COVID-19 cases and 62 deaths. Among the districts, Thiruvananthapuram reported the highest number of cases in the state today – -1,001, followed by Kozhikode with 997 cases and Ernakulam with 862 cases.

  7. For the second day in a row, the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands reported no new COVID-19 case.

  8. Nagaland on Saturday reported 20 fresh COVID-19 cases, 19 less than the previous day, taking the tally to 31,831. Nagaland now has 222 active COVID-19 cases, while 1,042 coronavirus patients have migrated to other states.

  9. Maharashtra reported 1,130 new cases of coronavirus and 26 deaths in the last 24 hours.

  10. The daily positivity rate of 1.13 per cent is less than 2 per cent for the last 27 days.
