Corona virus cases increased in India, 43,263 cases were reported in the last 24 hours

Coronavirus News Updates: After witnessing a decline in the number of COVID cases for the last 2 days, India again reported 43,263 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. 1.19% of the total cases are active cases.

India’s active caseload is 3,93,614.

The recovery rate of the country is currently 97.48 percent. In the last 24 hours, 40,567 patients have been cured of this virus.

According to the Union Health Ministry, there have been 338 deaths in the last 24 hours in the country.

Kerala

After registering less than 30,000 cases since last Friday, Kerala reported 30,196 new cases on Wednesday, taking the total infections in the state to 42,83,494.

A government release said that 181 people have also died in the southern state, taking the total death toll to 22,001 so far.

The test positivity rate (TPR), which was seeing a gradual decline and fell below 16 per cent, rose to 17.63 per cent on Wednesday after 1,71,295 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
With this, 3,28,41,859 samples have been tested so far.

The bulletin also said that 27,579 people have recovered from the infection since Tuesday, taking the total number to 40,21,456 and the number of active cases to 2,39,480.

Maharashtra

Maharashtra reported 4,174 new coronavirus cases and 65 fresh deaths on Wednesday, taking the number of infections to 64,97,872 and the toll to 1,37,962, a health department official said.

He said that with 4,155 patients being discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, the state’s recovery tally rose to 63,08,491 with 47,880 active cases.

On Tuesday, there were 3,898 new coronavirus infections and 86 deaths in Maharashtra.

At present, 3,07,913 people are in home isolation in the state and another 1,937 are in institutional quarantine, the official said.

The recovery rate of corona virus in Maharashtra is 97.09 percent, while the death rate is 2.12 percent.

The number of coronavirus tests conducted in the state rose to 5,53,38,772, of which 1,79,408 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. In Maharashtra, 1,59,889 swab samples were tested on Tuesday.
