In the last 24 hours, 15,102 new cases of corona were found in the country, 31,377 patients were cured, while 278 people died. At the same time, the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment has come down by 17,847. A day earlier on Monday, 13,348 new cases were found and 235 people died.

Now passengers going to UAE from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will not need to undergo RT-PCR test after reaching the airport. Passengers flying from these 4 countries to Abu Dhabi are exempted from travel rules. Etihad Airlines has also confirmed this on Twitter.

  • The Election Commission has now removed the 50% capacity restriction for political parties, candidate meetings, rallies and road shows. According to the order issued on Tuesday, road shows will be allowed with the prior permission of the district authorities and under the rules of the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA). However, other existing rules relating to campaigning will continue.
  • The Madhya Pradesh government has removed all the corona restrictions imposed in the state. However, it will be necessary to wear a mask in a public place and follow social distancing.
  • The meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will be held on February 25. Corona restrictions are likely to be further relaxed in view of the decline in corona cases in the capital.

Supreme Court dismisses petition against compulsory vaccination in America
The US Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by healthcare workers against compulsory vaccination. In the petition, exemption in vaccination was sought on religious grounds. Some healthcare workers had objected to the vaccination on religious grounds.
