Top 5 states with highest number of cases
The highest number of corona cases are being reported in 5 states of the country. These include Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and West Bengal. The maximum number of cases are coming from Kerala and Maharashtra. Maharashtra saw a 50% increase in new cases on Monday. At the same time, there has been a decrease of 20% in new cases in Kerala as compared to the previous day.
Most cases from Maharashtra
Maharashtra has come on top in the number of new infected, overtaking Kerala. Talking about the last 24 hours, 3,098 positive cases were found here, while 4,207 patients were cured, while 6 infected lost their lives. There has been an increase of 50% in positive cases in Maharashtra as compared to the previous day.
Cases increasing continuously in Tamil Nadu
In the last 24 hours, there has also been a decrease of 13% in new cases in Tamil Nadu. On Monday, 2662 new cases came here, while 1,512 patients were cured. 1 patient died of corona in Tamil Nadu. Even after the reduction in new cases, the positivity rate here remains above 8%.
New cases in Kerala decreased by 20% in 24 hours
In the case of epidemic, Kerala still remains a hot-spot of Corona. Even though there has been a decrease in new cases for the last four days, but the positivity rate in the state still remains above 16%. On Tuesday, 2603 new cases came here, while 3031 patients were cured. While 6 patients died.
After almost a week, less than 3 thousand cases have been reported in Kerala on Tuesday. On Tuesday, more people were cured than new cases. However, Kerala has the highest number of active cases in the country.
