The third wave of corona virus has now completely arrived in Delhi. The rate of new positive cases in the national capital registered an increase of about 6.46% within 24 hours on Monday.
New cases in Delhi have also registered an increase of 28% as compared to Sunday. On Monday, 4,099 new patients were found in the capital, which is the highest in the last 7 months. The death of 1 infected has also been recorded. At present, the number of active patients in the state is close to 11 thousand.
On the other hand, during the last one week (December 27 to January 2) in the country, the number of new corona patients increased almost 3 times. About 1.3 lakh new patients were received this week, which is the biggest weekly figure of new patients during the last 12 weeks. Last week (December 20 to December 26), only 46,073 new patients were found in the country, which was the lowest number of new patients in a week after May 2020.
On Monday also 33,750 new cases have been found in the country, while 123 people have died due to complications arising from the corona virus. The Union Health Ministry has refuted the false media reports that have said that expired vaccines were used during the vaccination programme.

Former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi turns corona positive; 18 infected including wife, daughter
Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has become corona infected. Along with him, many family members including his wife, daughter, private secretary and security guard have also been found positive. The infection has been confirmed in a total of 18 people. All the people are in isolation at the residence of Mahakar village in Gaya. Manjhi was also infected in the second wave of Corona.

That is, the second wave started from here. Till February 11, the total number of infected people in the country was 1 crore 8 lakh 80 thousand 439. On 18 February it increased to 1 crore 9 lakh 63 thousand 258. That is, it increased by 82,819 in a week. In percentage it was 0.76%.
