Lucknow: Investigation continues in the alleged case illegal conversion, anti terrorism squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh Police Three other accused were arrested on Sunday.

Goswami further said that Atif came in contact with Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui because of the temptation to take the Medical Council of India (MCI) exam but was working with Kaleem Siddiqui for the last 2 years for ‘daawat’ i.e. conversion ).
Goswami also said that the accused Atif was converted during his medical studies during his stay in Russia and was illegally running a medical clinic in Nashik after failing to clear the MCI examination, which is a medical clinic abroad. The IG said, “During which Atif used to incite patients to convert to Islam and assured Maulana Kaleem of giving them a passing MCI certificate.
At the same time, IG Goswami also said that accused Idris Qureshi collected donations for the last 20 years for Jamiatul Imam Waliullah Al Islamia Madrasa run by Kalim Siddiqui and is also active in the operation of the madrasa.
Goswami said, “The above madrassa is run as the center of conversion of accused Kalim Siddiqui, where the activities of “Tarabiyat” are an important phase of conversion.”
The investigation also revealed that accused Idris Qureshi has constructed a residential house in Muzaffarnagar worth about Rs 60 lakh and a motorcycle worth Rs 2.5 lakh in the last three months, how he got such property. Huge amount was being investigated.
Senior ATS officials said, “The evidence so far has confirmed that under the guise of a social harmony programme, a syndicate of illegal conversion was being run by the accused.” He also said that illegal properties have been created by the accused by using money received from abroad in the name of charity for personal purposes.
Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Squad had busted the illegal conversion racket in June with the arrest of gangster Umar Gautam, his accomplice Mufti Qazi Jehangir Qasmi and later its Nagpur syndicate with the arrest of Rameshwar Kavre alias Adam, Kaushar Alam. did.
