After BJP, SP, Congress released its manifesto in Uttar Pradesh elections. On Wednesday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will release the Unnati Vidhan Manifesto at the state headquarters in Lucknow. Earlier, Congress has issued a manifesto regarding power legislation for women and recruitment legislation for youth.
What was special in the power legislation and recruitment legislation
Voting for the first phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections is on February 10. Congress will release its manifesto ‘Unnati Vidhan’ for UP elections today. This manifesto has been prepared by senior Congress leaders Salman Khurshid and PL Punia in public. Congress party leaders have understood the issues of the people and have included them in the manifesto. This manifesto has been named ‘Unnati Vidhan’. Earlier, the Congress party has released the manifesto ‘Yuva Vidhan’ for the youth and ‘Shakti Vidhan’ for the women.
‘Shakti Vidhan’ declaration for women
On 19 October 2021, the Congress had announced to give 40 percent tickets to women candidates in the upcoming assembly elections. There was a lot of discussion in the political circles about this announcement.
- In the manifesto, promises have been made like giving free scooty and smartphones to the 12th pass girls.
- Congress has promised three free gas cylinders to women every year.
- Apart from this, for the girl child born in a family, the government will deposit money in the bank.
- Congress has also promised to give 25 percent reservation to women in police recruitment and increase the honorarium of ASHA-Anganwadi workers.
Big announcements for youth in recruitment legislation
- Guarantee of 20 lakh government jobs, of which eight lakh posts will be for women.
- 1.5 lakh vacant posts of teachers will be filled in primary schools.
- 5,000 crore ‘Seed Start Up Fund’ to prioritize youth for startups.
- The shortage of 1 lakh headmasters in the basic education sector will be filled.
- Vacant posts in Sanskrit teacher, Urdu teacher, Anganwadi, Asha etc. will be filled.
- Fees for examination forms will be waived and bus-train travel will be free.
