Congress’ Punjab in-charge Harish Chaudhary on Wednesday wrote to party MP and former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh’s Preneet Kaur seeking an explanation for her “anti-party” activities. The party has given Kaur 7 days to explain.

“For the past several days, we have been receiving reports from Congress workers, MLAs, Patiala leaders and media about your anti-party activities,” the letter said.

The Congress has also warned Kaur of disciplinary action. “Please clarify your stand on this issue within a period of 7 days, otherwise the party will be forced to take necessary disciplinary action,” the letter said.

The Congress has claimed that these ‘reports’ have started coming after Amarinder Singh resigned from the post of CM and formed his own party.
