Congress G-23 leaders, who had called for comprehensive reforms in the party, including elections at various levels in 2020, met at the residence of senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad in the national capital on Friday.
Sources said that they are ready to raise the demand for reforms in the party during the CWC meeting.
Congress leader Bhupender Singh Hooda, Manish Tewari, Kapil Sibal and Anand Sharma, Akhilesh Prasad Singh were among those present in the meeting.
The results of five assembly elections came as a setback for the Congress, which was hoping to do well to revive its prospects for 2024. Lok Sabha Elections and to address the emerging challenge from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Trinamool Congress to replace it as the base of anti-BJP politics in the country.
The second part of the budget session will end on April 8. The first half of the budget session began on January 31 and ended on February 11.
