Congress leaders did in favor of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, get the photo clicked. Ludhiana News – Times of India

LUDHIANA: The Progressive Punjab Investors Summit, which was held in the industrial city for the first time unlike its previous editions, attracted a good crowd of industrialists not only from the city but also from other states and countries.
But the heavy presence of Congress leaders including MLAs, councillors, party functionaries and even youth wing leaders apart from industrialists made the event look like a Congress summit. Meanwhile, since his arrival in Ludhiana today, local Congress leaders tried their best to align with the new Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.
Many legislators like Surinder DavarRakesh Pandey reached the Circuit House where the cabinet meeting was taking place and stayed with Channi throughout his stay in Ludhiana. Captain Sandeep Sandhu, a close aide of former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, was also seen at the summit.
A large number of flex hoardings with photographs of CM Channi, cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, the minister’s wife Mamta Ashu and others were put up on the Ferozepur road (the stretch from Aggar Nagar towards the summit site) through which Channi’s convoy was supposed to pass. .
But the most interesting part of the Congress today show was the photo operation on the stage of the Investors Summit where a large number of Congress leaders in the audience saw it as the perfect opportunity after seeing some empty chairs near and behind CM Channi’s chairs. Had a photo session with the CM and took turns to go on stage and clicked his photo with CM on some pretext or the other (mostly on the pretext of discussing problems).
However, the CM did not let anyone down and listened to Congress leaders giving enough time to their supporters to get photographed with Channi. However cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, who was present at the cabinet meeting at Circuit House in the first part of the day, was missing from the summit, where he was also scheduled to deliver a speech as per the schedule.
