Hours before the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting in Punjab on Saturday, the party high command is said to have asked Chief Minister Amarinder Singh to resign so that a new office-bearer could be elected.
The chief minister, however, “threatened” to quit the party if he was humiliated.
