Kharge, Gandhi and Punjab Congress leaders will address a rally in the border town of Pathankot
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will be on a day-long visit to Punjab on Thursday, where he will meet the family members of Jalandhar MP Santokh Singh Choudhary and offer his condolences.
Kharge will also participate in Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Pathankot and address a public meeting.
Kharge, Gandhi and leaders of the Punjab Congress will address a rally in the border town of Pathankot.
After this, the Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress will enter Jammu and Kashmir.
The Congress chief will return to Delhi by Thursday evening in a special flight.
Chowdhary died of a heart attack during the Bharat Jodo Yatra at Phillaur in Jalandhar on Saturday, following which the march was halted for 24 hours.
Chaudhary (76), a two-time MP, was walking with Gandhi during the yatra when he fainted. He was taken in an ambulance to a private hospital in Phagwara, where he was declared brought dead.
Chaudhary’s last rites were performed with full state honors at his native village Dhaliwal in Jalandhar district on Sunday.
