New Delhi: Senior Congress Leader P Chidambaram Taking a jibe at the BJP on Thursday for the reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel, the results of 30 assembly and three Lok Sabha By-elections have “produced a by-product”.

“This is a confirmation of our allegation that fuel prices are high mainly due to higher taxes,” the former finance minister said.
“And we allege that the high fuel tax is due to the greed of the central government,” he said.
Hitting back at the Congress leader, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who earlier held portfolios of petroleum and natural gas, said, “If the allegation is being sensitive to the demand of the people and sharing their sorrow, then we will take it happily.” Because Modi Sarkar means.
