Congress And Its ‘Arrogant’ Allies Oppose Women’s Reservation: PM Modi In Rajasthan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday took a jibe at the Ashok Gehlot led Congress government stating that they have wasted five years of youth in the state, in Rajasthan.

Addressing the ‘Parivartan Sankalp Mahasabha’ event, PM Modi said, “The people of Rajasthan have resoundingly expressed their dissatisfaction with Congress’ governance. Congress deserves a failing grade for their administration in this state. The residents of Rajasthan have made the choice to replace the Gehlot government and reinstate the BJP.”

Speaking on the Women’s Reservation Bill, he said that the women have been waiting for a long time for 33% reservation in Lok Sabha and state assemblies. “I may not have accomplished this, but the power of your vote has made it possible,” PM Modi further stated.

“I can clearly foresee a change in Rajasthan. The Parivartan Yatra, conducted in every nook and cranny of the state, garnered significant support from the people. This suggests that the political climate in Rajasthan has shifted,” PM Modi thundered.

“Congress never truly intended to empower women. Congress leaders who are now advocating for women’s reservation could have done so 30 years ago. Today, if they express support for women’s reservation, it is not out of genuine interest but rather due to pressure from women themselves. Congress and its ‘arrogant’ allies oppose women’s reservation,” PM Modi claimed.
