Congress has once again come on attacking mode regarding Rafale deal. Rahul Gandhi made a tweet on Sunday. In this, he asked why Modi wanted to avoid the investigation of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). He also gave four options.

1. Modi has a sense of guilt.
2. He wants to save his friends.
3. JPC does not want a Rajya Sabha seat.
4. All these options are correct.

Rahul Gandhi has also posted a post on Instagram. In this he has posted a picture, a man with half face and whose beard has a photo of Raphael. Rahul has written, Thief’s beard…. Rahul has not written anyone’s name here. But it is clearly visible that Rahul has shown the beard of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Congress said- France ordered investigation, why Delhi silent?
Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera holds a press conference in Delhi. Why does Modi want to avoid JPC’s investigation in the 59 thousand crore Rafale deal, he said. The French government has appointed a judge to investigate allegations of corruption, influencing people, money laundering and favoritism in the Rafale deal. The whole world and the whole country is looking towards New Delhi. Why are they silent?

Rafale deal matter in Supreme Court
There were reports in the French media that huge amounts were given to the client in the Rafale deal. After this a new petition was filed in the Supreme Court. It demanded an independent probe into the Rafale deal. Then Chief Justice SA Bobde had said that it would be heard later. However, he did not mention any date.

Two years ago, the Supreme Court had dismissed all the petitions seeking a probe into the Rafale deal under the supervision of the court. On December 14, 2018, the Supreme Court had termed the allegations of any favors in the process of this deal and partner elections as baseless.

French media had said- Rs 4.39 crore. given to the client
A report was published in the French media quoting the investigation report of the French anti-corruption agency AFA. Accordingly, Dassault Aviation has made some seemingly bogus payments. The audit of the company’s accounts for 2017 showed an expenditure of 5 lakh 8 thousand 925 euros (Rs 4.39 crore) in the name of client gifts. No concrete answer was given for such a huge amount. Only a March 2017 bill of the model maker is shown.
