Congratulations to all the farmers for their relentless fight against the barbarism of BJP.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the repeal of three agriculture laws at the Centre. Opposition leaders are declaring ‘victory’ one after the other. From Rahul Gandhi to Derek O’Brien, everyone mentioned the victory of the farmers by firing at the center. And Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also extended ‘sincere best wishes’ to farmers for repeal of the Agriculture Act.

In a tweet, Mamata wrote, “My heartfelt congratulations to all those farmers who fought tirelessly and did not get distracted by the barbarism of the BJP. This is your victory! My deepest condolences to all those who lost their loved ones in this fight.”

Significantly, the Trinamool Congress was once determined to use farmers’ dissatisfaction with the Agriculture Act to project its anti-BJP image at the national level. Earlier, the farmers staged a sit-in on the Delhi border for almost a year demanding the repeal of the Agriculture Act. On the instructions of Mamta, Trinamool MPs went there and met the farmers. When the Trinamool MP went to meet the farmers, the Chief Minister spoke to the protesters over phone and asked them to stay with him. In the assembly election campaign also, the issue of farmer movement has been raised repeatedly on Mamta’s face. The Chief Minister also met a farmer leader like Rakesh Tikait. In this context, the Trinamool Congress would be desperate to see the repeal of these three laws as a ‘victory’ in the fight against Modi. At the national level, the Congress would undoubtedly like to use this ‘victory’ as a tool against the BJP. But for the time being, without going into this debate, everyone is seeing this issue as a victory for the ‘farmers’.

On this day, Rahul Gandhi tweeted in this context, ‘Through Satyagraha, the earners of the country bowed their heads, who were full of arrogance. Congratulations to all on this victory against injustice. Joy Hind, Joy Kisan!’ In this regard, Congress tweeted, ‘Pride is broken, the farmer of my country has won. Overall, the ‘language’ of everyone from Rahul to Mamta is now almost the same.
