New Delhi: ‘Long Gawacha’ singer Neha Bhasin has been making headlines ever since she confirmed that she will be participating in the upcoming Bigg Boss OTT show.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the same, the singer shared what motivates her to participate in one of the most sensational shows in India.
In a conversation with ANI on Tuesday, Neha shared that “For many years they (producers of Bigg Boss) had been approaching me to participate, we had many meetings, I thought for a long time, this with my family. discussed and finally participated in it.”
The 38-year-old singer also shared that her mother was against her joining the show as there is always “a risk factor for public image” and that the show is about “exposing oneself to the world”, but What caused it to join the show, the lyricist shared it’s immense popularity of the show.
“I understand that Bigg Boss has a huge fan following, it’s a huge platform and everyone in the country connects with it… and people who go in and come out of Bigg Boss only have positives in their lives. Changes have come, Neha told ANI.
She continued, “So I also want my career, which is already good by God’s grace, to be even better. My fans will be able to see me and be happy and those who are or are not my fans. Right now. Till I am able to become my fan, I will be able to establish a relationship with him too.”
Neha, who has sung songs like ‘Jag Ghoomya’ (Female Version), ‘Chashni’ Reprise Edition, ‘Heeriye’ (Female Version), ‘Swag Se Swagat’ (Female Version) – shared all the hit songs from Salman Khan’s film Said that she was not disappointed by the fact that Superstar would not be hosting the OTT Voot episode of the show this time, instead “I was rather impressed that it was going to be so big this time that the OTT platform would be used and Karan Johar would be hosting it.” Will host, that’s what I thought.”
Mocking Neha and referring to the show as a “dangerous show”, Neha shared what the challenges must have been for her.
“Everyone has their real lives, our real businesses, my music and hence, wants to be different from music, obviously having a famous singer, exposing oneself with such rawness on TV or OTT 24X7, So naturally one would be scared of the idea. (laughs),” he said.
He said, “I think it is important to be ‘honest’ and not ‘conscious’. We should be honest to the fact that we are being watched round the clock and we should not misbehave beyond a certain point. “
The singer further shared what it is that makes her a unique contestant on the show. “I’m the whole masala (drama) myself. In fact, my brother calls me ‘garam masala.’ I’m a very energetic person, and a lot of fun too. There are no dull moments with me—at least that’s mine Family members and friends say. Hope you get to see who I am on TV.”
Upon bringing the trophy home, the singer said, she would do her best for it, but if not she would “definitely try to leave a mark on people’s hearts.”
Karan was recently roped in to host the digital episode of the upcoming season of ‘Bigg Boss’ on Voot. Earlier this month, the makers of the popular reality TV show announced that ‘Bigg Boss 15’ will be launched on OTT ahead of its television premiere.
Superstar Salman Khan, who has been hosting the show for over a decade, unveiled a new promo of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ a few days back.
Karan has not replaced Salman. Reportedly, he will host a few episodes on Voot, and then the ‘Dabangg’ star will return to host the televised version of the new season. ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ will premiere on August 8 on Voot.
