Coimbatore: A 10-year-old girl died after a shawl got stuck in the wheel of a bike. Annoor-Othimalai Road on Friday evening.
Police said that the girl’s head exploded in the incident.
Annoor police said S Darshan of Vadakkalur was a Class V student near Annoor. The girl had fever for a few days.
“On Friday, her mother S Vasanthi took her along with her neighbor V Vignesh to Annur Government Hospital on a motorcycle. While returning home, one end of the girl’s shawl got stuck in the rear wheel. As the shawl was wrapped tightly around her. neck, his head was chopped off,” said an officer. The body was sent to Mettupalayam Government Hospital for postmortem. Police have registered a case against bike rider Vignesh.
