Before the polling in Punjab, the politics of Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified on the raid. CM Charanjit Channi said that the officers who interrogated his nephew, while leaving said that remember the PM’s visit. The CM said that his nephew was tortured overnight. He was pressurized to take my name but he did not do so. Thereafter no case was registered against him.

After the raid of ED, CM Channi held a press conference in Chandigarh regarding 5 ministers. He claimed that the ED officers kept the whole night open till the court in an attempt to get my name. This point of CM is important because on January 5, when PM Narendra Modi returned after the highway was blocked, he had said at the Bathinda airport that thanking my Chief Minister, I have returned alive.

CM Channi said that today Arvind Kejriwal is supporting Red. When his relative was caught, Kejriwal called it political revenge. Now when vendetta action is being taken against him, he is happy.

BJP wants to win by twisting its arm

CM Channi said that BJP does the same at the time of elections. Earlier, during Bengal elections, Mamata Banerjee, DMK Stalin in Tamil Nadu and Sharad Panwar in Maharashtra took such action. Channi said that the BJP wants to win the election by twisting its arms, but it neither happened in Bengal nor will it happen in Punjab. Channi said that why is revenge action being taken against me when there was no threat to the security of PM in Punjab.
