CM Yogi’s ’80 vs 20′ remark given to people like Akhilesh who praise Pakistan, Jinnah: BJP’s Noida MLA

Explaining what Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath meant when he said this month that February-March assembly elections are “a battle between 80% and 20%”, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA and Noida candidate Pankaj Singh Said 20% is a reference to those who live in India but admire Pakistan.

In a conversation with News18.com, Singh said that the rival Samajwadi Party’s allegation that the CM’s statement is communal is baseless. He accused the SP of seeing everything through a communal lens.

“How do I look at 80 vs 20… these 20 are the ones who live here and praise Pakistan,” he said. This is not acceptable. (Akhilesh) Yadav praises those who are responsible for many families losing their loved ones. Only SP leaders take names of people who polarize the society. He tried to free the terrorists from the jails. They also try to avoid shouting Bharat Mata ki Jai. They hesitate to sing the national anthem. Our youth cannot accept the SP,” said Singh, referring to the Samajwadi Party chief’s controversial remarks on Mohammad Ali Jinnah that the BJP had praised the founder of Pakistan.

Akhilesh had recently hit out at the BJP for making fun of his party’s traditional Lal Topi (red cap) and pointed to his rival’s saffron identifier. Singh, who is also UP’s vice-president and BJP’s state youth wing chief, said that SP leaders would never understand the importance of saffron (saffron) colour.

“Akhilesh Yadav does not know that when I speak of saffron, it is a color which signifies purity. We will move ahead with the address of Sanatan Dharma (we will move forward with the flag of Sanatan Dharma). Our culture, spiritual strength and tradition will go along with the development,” Singh said.

He also alleged that Yadav only understands caste politics and even sees politics in flag colour.

“On the other hand, we believe that when it comes to the nation everyone should put their flags aside to connect with each other under the Indian flag. SP leaders will never understand this sentiment. To understand this they have to be reincarnated,” said Singh, who claimed that the BJP would get over 300 seats out of the total 403 seats in the assembly polls.

On the FIR lodged against Congress leader and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for not following the COVID protocol while campaigning for the party’s candidate Pankhuri Pathak in UP, Singh said he should have followed the Election Commission’s guidelines. The BJP MLA said that the representatives of all political parties should follow the COVID protocol and there should be no exception.

Rival parties are trying to corner the ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh on the issue of unemployment. Singh, the young face of the party in the state, hit back at the opposition.

“The opposition was also absent in Uttar Pradesh and Noida constituency. They don’t understand what people want. The opposition was commenting on Twitter and on the incidents in Delhi. There was no emotional connection with the people. At the time of migration of workers during Covid, it is the BJP which gave them slippers, arranged water and food, and tried to facilitate their movement. Congress, SP and BSP come only during election season.

Asked about Akhilesh mocking CM Yogi Adityanath for having food at a Dalit man’s residence ahead of elections, Singh said, “At least with elections, we see Akhilesh Yadav coming out to comment. are. Otherwise we have only seen him on Twitter in the last five years. This is not the first time that our leaders have had food at the house of a Dalit. We have seen the scene in Prayagraj where PM washed feet of Safai Karamcharis (sanitation workers). We try to build trust in the community. We have been organizing Samarsata Bhoj for a long time and it has nothing to do with elections.

Singh said the SP chief’s narrative of social justice (social justice) will not work as the party has always played politics of caste and religion.

There are at least 11 per cent non-Jatav Dalits and around 39 per cent OBCs in UP, who are expected to play a key role in the elections.

Union minister Rajnath Singh’s son, who is influential among the farming community, said the 2020-21 farmers’ agitation against the Centre’s three controversial laws and the movement’s prominent leader Rakesh Tikait will not affect the results in western UP.

On Congress’ statement that UP is unsafe for women, Singh questioned why the party leadership is silent on the alleged rape of a disabled minor girl in Rajasthan, where it is in power. He also praised former police officer Aseem Arun for joining BJP in UP. “We welcome all those who want to build the nation with us,” he said.
