CM Kejriwal says that Kovid cases are increasing rapidly in Delhi, but hospitalizations and deaths are less

Delhi on Thursday reported 28,867 COVID-19 cases, the sharpest one-day spike since the start of the pandemic.

Covid cases are increasing rapidly but there is no cause for concern, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday, stressing on lower hospitalization and mortality rate. He asked the people to be responsible and assured them that the government has made all the preparations and there are enough beds in the hospital.

“There is no need to panic. Cases have increased but hospitalizations and deaths are less. We have made all preparations and there is no shortage of beds.”

Delhi on Thursday recorded 28,867 COVID-19 cases, the sharpest one-day spike and 31 deaths since the start of the pandemic, while the positivity rate jumped to 29.21 per cent.
