Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi reached Amritsar on Wednesday along with Navjot Singh Sidhu, Deputy CM Om Prakash Soni and Sukhjinder Randhawa. The CM paid obeisance at the Darbar Sahib in the morning, after that he reached Jallianwala Bagh, Ram Teerth and then Durgyana. However, this was not just a religious tour of the CM. During this, in order to strengthen his hold in Punjab, he is also trying to increase his closeness with the MLAs.

During this, Chief Minister Channi stopped at Giani Tea Stall and sipped tea and enjoyed Kachoris together. Not only this, he also narrated Shero-Shayari to the people present there.

After paying obeisance at all the religious places, the Chief Minister reached the house of Deputy CM Om Prakash Soni. where he had his breakfast. After this, he also reached the house of MLA Raj Kumar Verka, Punjab Congress Working President Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala and MP Gurjit Aujla for tea. After which he left the city.
