Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s convoy returned from Pakistan in the evening after visiting the historic Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib on the corridor. Channi, after returning, announced that the Punjab government would run free buses to take the Sangat who had taken permission for darshan to the corridor. This service will be started soon.

Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that he has come to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib by offering prayers that the borders of both the countries should be opened and trade should start. He has urged Prime Minister Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to make the process of visiting the corridor more simple. Channi said that the process should be such that whoever wants to return only after having darshan.

Finance Minister Manpreet Badal, Minister Rana Gurjit Singh Sodhi, Vijayendra Singla, Cabinet rank holder Mahendra Singh KP, MLA Barinder Meet Singh Padda and Amritsar Mayor Karmjit Singh Rintu had gone with him to visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib. On Saturday, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Navjot Singh Sidhu, Ministers Pargat Singh, Aruna Chaudhary, Deputy CM OP Soni, Sangat Singh and Amarinder Singh will go to Pakistan from the Raja Vading Corridor. On the other hand, Punjab Pradesh Congress in-charge Harish Chaudhary will also go on Saturday.

At the same time, those devotees are going for Kartarpur Sahib Darshan, who have taken special permission from the DC office. On Wednesday, about 25 devotees had bowed their heads at Kartarpur Sahib after special permission. RT-PCR test report required
The governments of both the countries are placing more emphasis on the RT-PCR test report. On Wednesday, two pilgrims were sent back only because they did not have the RT-PCR test reports. Apart from this test, it is also necessary for every visiting devotee to have a certificate of both the doses. Not only this, rapid antigen test is done even after entering Pakistan.

Indian pilgrims are getting a very warm welcome in Pakistan. The number of pilgrims arriving from India is very less, but due to the festival of Guru, the number of Sikh pilgrims settled in Pakistan is high. Many Sikh devotees from Sindh are reaching Kartarpur Sahib for Darshan.

Repair work completed for devotees
Since the announcement of the opening of Kartarpur Corridor by Home Minister Amit Shah, continuous repair work is going on here. Patchwork is being done to fill the potholes lying on the roads which have remained vacant for 20 months. Not only this, the work of decorating the Kartarpur Corridor with lights is also going on.

Security has been chalked out
SSP Batala Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar said that due to the border, security arrangements have been strengthened. More than 700 policemen will be present here. Special attention is also being taken for the devotees, so that they do not face any problem. BSF and police together are engaged in the security of this entire area.
