Replay’s Rollout Supports Pinned Links That Let Moderators Show A Relevant Link At The Top Of A Room

Soon Clubhouse users will be able to record audio rooms so that anyone who misses the live action can listen to it later. The brand new tool for Clubhouse hosts and moderators was due out in late September.

The new feature is called ‘replay’, using which public rooms can be recorded and saved to a club or user profile if the host wishes. Replays can be downloaded so that anyone hosting the room can share them externally as a video, podcast, or Instagram or TikTok story on other social media platforms such as YouTube, beyond Clubhouse.

Replay’s rollout supports pinned links that let moderators show a relevant link at the top of a room. Anyone listening to the recorded room can listen in types of motion, pause, move to the next speaker, or create a 30-second clip of the recording.

The moderator or host will also know who listened to the replay once the live room is recorded and posted. The ‘replay’ feature can be found in Clubhouse’s existing search features including a search starting next week.

Another feature is “total number of rooms” which can give hosts a more useful analysis of how many people listened to a room, given its reach and popularity. With this new ‘replay’ feature more people can use the app as a discovery engine when they can’t catch an audio event live. By sharing it on other social media profiles, the creators will get a chance to reach a wider audience.
