Clubhouse introduces new way to invite friends to private chat – Times of India

New Delhi: club house, ns audio-only social networking app has introduced a new way of inviting people to an audio chat called ‘Wave’. The company announced this new feature at a surprise town hall and is available to all users Android And iOS.
With the new Wave feature, users can invite friends to a live audio room by tapping on the handshake emoji. Once a user receives an invite, they can choose to join the call and will be immediately added to an audio room.

Here’s how this feature works
To send a Wave, users need to swipe right across the hallway or tap the dots icon at the bottom left of the screen. Then tap the Wave button next to the person you want to chat with.
The app will then send a notification to the user with ‘Hello’ and then know that you are ready to chat. If they accept the invitation, they’ll be able to join you in a private room — open to the users you shook hands with. You can keep it within a social circle, introduce different groups of friends to each other, or open up the room more widely and make it open to everyone.
The best part is that you can wave to as many friends as you want, and you can do other things while you wait for their reply. Explore the hallways, find more friends to roam around, or jump into certain rooms!
Recently Clubhouse has launched its direct messaging feature. Called Backchannel, the feature is available to users on both Android and iOS. Currently, users can chat face-to-face in groups and also send links to Clubhouse. The app does not provide the ability to send pictures or videos. However, as reported by The Verge, the app will be getting more new features soon. Clubhouse will also offer an optional secondary inbox where message requests will live.
