Vadodara: A 14-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her home gajrawadi Thursday afternoon in the downtown area
Jhalak Pandey, a class IX student, hanged herself in her room after returning from her school, Shri Krishna Hindi Vidyalaya.
Police say that the reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
“It was the first day of school. The girl went to school and returned home at 12.30 pm. Jhalak went straight to her room and hanged herself. Her family came to know about it after sometime when she did not come out of the room for a long time. ,” said Panigate police station KP Parmar.
“We asked her parents if she was under any stress or had any family problems. But his parents said they did not know why he took such a big step. He said that he does not even have a mobile phone. Now we will inquire at his school,” Parmar told TOI. His father Ashish Pandey works in a private company in Waghodia.
